Literature Description Materials
The Literature which is read by everyone will have an overview description as described below. In those cases where students have written summaries for various pieces of literature, the summaries are attached.
The Descriptions are formatted as follows:
Summary - Author, Title, Period, Genre
Rational - Why this piece of literature was selected for study
Themes - Themes for the course, not themes in the piece of literature
Historical Context - Historical events and eras which influence or are reflected in the literature.
Geographic Context - Information about the relationship between the setting and the historical and cultural issues.
